Planning for Q2: More Plans, Less Panicking, and Zero Procrastination!

Published about 1 month ago • 2 min read

“How did this quarter go for you?” 😳

It’s the question I immediately asked when I woke up on April 1st. 🛌

The factory setting on my brain is to think in quarters of the year – three-month intervals…always!

I can see what’s on the horizon, what I’ve already done, and what I’m currently doing all in one snapshot.

It also allows me to not overplan my year, a bad habit I broke about two years ago.

I was so set in my ways that it would happen if I planned for something to happen.

Even if I felt deep down in my bones, it wouldn’t work or have the same result I’d hoped.

It wasn’t great.
It also wasn’t smart. 🤦

It didn’t allow for any pivoting or changes. And yes, in hindsight, I see that was the issue.

But that’s why I’m writing to you today, Reader, to tell you that quarterly planning works best for me.

So, “What’s ahead in Q2 2024?” you ask.

Well, more content creation…obviously. 😉

And lots of planning.

The second half of the year is usually my busiest: my affiliate launch for Amy Porterfield’s Digital Course Academy, Proffitt Podcasting, and all the wildness that comes with back-to-school and the holidays.

Specifically, in Q2, I’ll be creating content and working on launch planning, mostly using Asana to fine-tune all the details of my upcoming launches.

Do you have any questions about how I plan content around my affiliate launches?

If you are, hit reply – let’s chat.

Oh yeah, I’m also going to ConvertKit’s Craft and Commerce event in Boise, ID, this June. (Which will be just as fun as last year! 💃)

But my main goal for the next few weeks is to take advantage of the slower months (before my kids get out of school for the summer) and ask, “How can I grow my audience during this season? And how can I get more people on my email list?”

Just because you’re in an intentional “quieter season” doesn’t mean nothing’s happening in your business.

There’s A LOT to be said about the planning seasons where you put your head down and get to work, not getting distracted by new ideas or shiny objects.

But again, don’t plan your life away! 🗓️

To Slower Seasons & More Intentional Planning,

Krystal
