Introducing: The Walking Pad

Published about 1 month ago • 1 min read

“Wait, so you’ll walk at your desk while you work?”

Yes, yes, I am.

I got a “walking pad” underneath my standing desk, Reader.

It’s not a typical treadmill with side arms you can hang on to and a big, clunky control center. It’s a slender tread that slides right under the lip of my standing desk frame.

And I love it!

I’ve been eyeing them for YEARS, but each time I checked Amazon – they were like $500 - $700! Nope, I'm not paying that. (I’m wayyy too cheap.🤷 Might as well buy a regular treadmill for that price!)

But this time, I searched and scoured for a walking pad, and this one was less than two hundred bucks! 🤑

So, it lives in my office now.

And on multiple occasions over the last few weeks, when I’ve been sitting and thought, “I should stand and work,” I’ve pulled out my walking pad and started walking.

I’ve been able to add 1-2 miles per day on my steps without realizing it. 🚶

Also…

  1. I’m much more alert and awake when standing/walking.
  2. I love investing in tools that help me become a better version of myself.

And that also applies to learning and growing as a creator and business owner.

For instance, I just finished booking my hotel for Craft & Commerce in Boise this June. (If you’re coming, let me know!) That’s an investment in my learning and networking I made last year that’s still paying dividends in connections I’ve made, partnerships I’ve formed, and knowledge I’ve gained.

Plus, I am now paid by ConvertKit to create content for them each month!

So, my question to you, Reader, is…

Where can you invest time or money in your personal life or business to help you become the creator you want to be?

Think about it.

And then consider making investments in yourself, big or small, over the next quarter.

To Investing in You,

Krystal
